Since 1998

One project. One family.
Every detail accounted for.

Delaware Valley Hardwoods is intentionally small and fiercely hands-on. We take on one client at a time so every sanding sequence, finish layer, and conversation gets the attention it deserves.

Jim Kramer founded the company after years working under master craftsmen throughout the mid-Atlantic. Those early lessons in respect for wood, homeowners, and clean work are the same principles we follow today.

Craftsmanship over volume

We’re not a production crew. Every floor is approached like a custom commission.

Dust-contained process

Trailer-mounted vacuums and disciplined cleanup keep projects livable for families who remain in the home.

Transparent communication

Clients know the plan, the why, and the trade-offs at each step. No surprises, no pressure.

Jim Kramer · Founder & Bona Certified Craftsman

The hands behind every floor.

Jim earned his reputation working on period homes where mistakes were expensive and craftsmanship mattered. He still leads every project, guiding a small, tight-knit team so the sanding sequence, flatness, and finish quality meet his standard.

  • Specializes in patterned floors, period-correct installs, and site-finished work.
  • Lagler-trained to set up dust-contained equipment properly.
  • Mentors the next generation of craftsmen on the crew (see why we're proud).
Andrea Kramer meeting with a client

Andrea Kramer · Certified Sales Advisor

Clear communication and calm project flow.

Andrea officially joined the business in 2013 after dedicating hundreds of hours to learning the trade. She bridges technical details with client expectations, keeping projects organized from first call to final walkthrough.

  • Helps families understand product options, maintenance, and timelines.
  • Manages scheduling, updates, and onsite logistics.
  • Champion for respectful job sites and honest conversations.

What Guides Our Work

Promises we make and keep on every job.

Education & Transparency

We walk you through the plan, the reasons, and the “what ifs” so decisions feel informed, not pressured.

Clean Job Sites

Daily cleanup, dust-contained equipment, and respectful crews keep your home livable throughout the project.

Continuous Improvement

Certification courses, industry events, and constant testing keep our methods current.

Quality Over Speed

We refuse to rush. Floors are flattened correctly, edges are blended, and finishes are given proper cure time.
